“He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant, but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right.” Isaiah 42:3 The Message

How far will God go for you …?

There is nothing in your life that surprises God. Your broken parts … tender bruises …  hidden wounds … unhealed messes … weathered scars … and unforgiven memories do not turn Him away. He doesn’t act alarmed. He doesn’t condemn you. He doesn’t assess blame. He knows where you feel disfigured, disregarded, and dispossessed. He isn’t repelled by your suspicions … your anger … your fear … or your shame. How far will Jesus go for you? He’ll carry your pains. He’ll carry all the things wrong with you. He became bruised … disregarded .. nailed … thorn-whipped … cross-disfigured for you. Why …? Because He calls the bruised .. the hurt .. the small … the insignificant  his friends. And they know it … and they call him Lord … Lord of the wounded … Lord of the lonely … Lord of the lost … Lord of the broken … Lord of the friendless … Lord of the disregarded … Lord of the overwhelmed … Lord of the pain-filled … Lord of the rejected … Lord of the addicted … Lord of the isolated … Lord of the wanderers … Lord of Lords … they just know Him as Jesus … The Bruised One. It only takes a moment … to let Him carry what you were never meant to carry without Him.

“But the fact is, it was our pains he carried, our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.” Isaiah 53:4 The Message
