“Keep me safe, O God, I’ve run for dear life to you. I say to God, “Be my Lord!” Without you, nothing makes sense.” Psalm 16:1-2 The Message

How will you pray today …?

You weren’t made to live life on your own. Not for a moment … God made you to run to him in everything connected to your life. He isn’t going to force you or scare you with evil. He hates evil and everything and everyone who try to grip you in wickedness. Anything that tries to steal God’s love from your life today and replace it with choking fear .. condemning shame .. staining guilt .. blinding anger .. and numbing depression is evil. You were born with a dilemma: God made you to run towards him and you were born running from him. Jesus ran straight to the Father while nailed in wickedness praying: ‘Father .. forgive them, they don’t know what they are doing’ .. and ‘It is finished’. A follower of Jesus discovers and rests in this fact: When Jesus makes his home in your life … life makes sense in a sin-filled .. sin-scarred .. sin-tired world. Without Him … nothing makes sense. Will your prayers make sense because of Jesus or Will you try to make sense of this day without Him?  It only takes a moment…

“God loves all who hate evil, And those who love him he keeps safe, Snatches them from the grip of the wicked. Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people, Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil.” Psalm 97:10-11 The Message
