What does God want for you…? (2)

God wants you to have an uncontaminated life. He wants you to be free from the choking world of self-interests and breathing a free life of God-interests. He wants you to be real in what you believe … what you share with others … and what you become as a follower of Jesus. He wants all of who you are today. He knows all about your past. He’s seen it already and He ‘s not going away. He’s not asking you to pretend to live a life of religious rules or act like an unwanted saint. The simple truth is: Jesus lived the only uncontaminated life ever lived. He showed us what a life open to God looks like in every kind of situation. His love was never counterfeit. He wants you to love the life He is living in you. He knows that on your own you will be trapped in self-interests .. pressured to conform to the world you live in .. and selective in who you will treat with fairness–compassion–and love. What does God want for you today? He wants you to be whole and alive in Christ. He wants nothing less for you and made it plain on a Cross. God wants you today … it’s that simple … and it only takes a moment. 

“But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously — take God seriously.” Micah 6:8 The Message
