Why is it so hard to believe what God says …?

He told us who He is. He hasn’t changed. He never will. Jesus showed us grace. He forgave sin-filled .. sin-scarred .. sin-tired folks just like you. He touched untouchable people just like you. He described God as a Robe-Running Father. He said if “you” wandered off … He would come and find you and bring you home. He said he would give his life so you could have life. He said “you” could follow Him. He said he would would change your life with His extravagant love. He said the only work God requires is that you believe in the Son. He said he was the way .. the truth .. and the life. He said he was bread for the hungry. He said he was light for the blind. He said he was the resurrection for those dying to live. He said his life was real food. He said to forgive 7 times 70. He said he would not leave you as an orphan. He said he would send the Holy Spirit to be with you. He said he would come back to bring you home. He hasn’t changed. He never will. It only takes a moment to let the sheer-mercy-grace-not-easily-angered-rich-in-love God fill your life for today … and off you go.
