“People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, Steady on their feet because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in the Lord God you have a sure thing.” Isaiah 26:3-4 The Message
Do you live as if you have a sure thing …?
Shalom … God gave it absolutely and unreservedly to a little bitty nation. He promised them blessed lives … prosperous lives … lives full of God’s presence and wholeness. They thought they could do better themselves or with other un-blessed nations. They tried it over and over and kept coming back to the Blessing One … the One who promised to make them whole and complete with His name. You have that blessing as well. You have it because you are a follower of Jesus. His life … His peace … His blessing is upon you this very moment. It is a sure thing. Your very life is to be a living story of God’s sure thing marking your life … leading your life … and keeping your life. It doesn’t make you proud or indifferent .. but grateful and hopeful for those in the world you live in day to day. Is your mind at peace? Are you steady on your feet? Are you depending on God today? Not just thinking an occasional thought but really depending on the Lord for your life .. your marriage .. your children .. your work .. your friends? Some days it is the easiest thing to do .. just depend on the Lord. Other days it is a hit or miss kind of day as it pertains to loving God with all your heart .. soul .. mind .. and strength. But … God’s promises are not based on you. His sure thing is His sure thing. It is God’s heart that you would live today as His sure thing. Your very life wrapped in His blessing and wholeness. Shalom … It is God’s blessing and it only takes a moment.
“God bless you and keep you, God smile on you and gift you, God look you full in the face and make you prosper. In so doing, they will place my name on the People of Israel — I will confirm it by blessing them.” Numbers 6:24-27 The Message
