Do you want to change the world around you …?
… Then start keeping company with Jesus. How will he change your world? He’ll change you .. something deep in your interior .. and you’ll begin to infect the world you live in. He’s not in the heavy-weighting business. He’s in the weight-lifting business. Here is the secret he wants you to learn to love about Himself: His life is not ill-fitting on you. Christ has made you to love freely and live lightly in this world. To love less is false faith To live less is load-bearing slavery. He’s not trying to make you religious or irreverent. And yet … we are so prone to living life-less-giving lives in His name. That is a slavery that loads marriages down .. shames children .. alienates friends .. and poisons your heart. Hear the promise of Jesus: I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. So .. If you are carrying something today that is wearing you out on the inside … If you are living the slave life of just trying to be good enough not to get caught or punished .. If you are afraid that if you get too close to Jesus that He will see _________ in you. Well … He wants to be the Weight-Lifting One in your life today. He wants you to quit trying to be good enough and let him Be Enough. He already sees your ___________ and He wants to transform your life-stealing fear into love-filling faith. Keeping company with Jesus … it only takes a moment …
