Could it be any clearer …?
You old way of life needed a new way of Life. It took nails .. a cross .. and a sin-conquering Jesus to end your old way of life. Your new way of Life has to have a “life-saving resurrection”. There is no Life without it. His life is your new Life. That means everything about you has been changed and is being changed by the indwelling life of Christ in you. You may see the rough spots and even stumble over some of the old paths .. but .. that is not your home or way any longer. Your new life is Son-believed .. Son-received .. Son-followed. It is very clear: Jesus .. the Son .. is God’s final word of eternal life. There isn’t any other way to find an answer or cure for your old way of life apart from Christ. You can be sure today that the world you live in and work in will try to convince you that you can change yourself with your good intentions .. good efforts .. and old ways of overall goodness. It is a lie. What happens to Followers of Jesus is that we begin to drift from letting His life be our Real Life. We begin to withhold .. withhold love .. withhold serving .. withhold friendship .. withhold encouraging .. withhold praying .. withhold forgiveness .. and in reality withhold the very Risen-Life of Jesus living within us. Your new-life has been raised to be God-clear in the world you live in: A clear message that Jesus is your life. It only takes a moment …
