“When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!” Romans 8:11 The Message

What does a God-breathed life look like …?

 … It looks like a life that breathes the word Abba .. over and over .. all day long. It looks like a life that doesn’t need to brag or edge to the front of the line .. but reaches out with the real love of Jesus and helps slave-friends become free and un-slaved. It looks like a life that’s been made alive in the spirit of Christ .. fully alive .. fully loved .. fully living in the Father’s invincible love. A dead life can be successful .. go to church .. set goals .. meet deadlines .. reach out with great care .. eat healthy .. make time for children .. and look really good on the outside. But God … wants to breathe real life into the dead places of your life. He wants you to receive and know the living/breathing life of Jesus … inside and out … dead and now alive … rejected and now accepted … breathing the adopted air of being a son and daughter of God through Jesus. There is no other air like the life of Jesus reaching out beside you .. protecting you .. nourishing you .. forgiving you .. guiding you .. and leading you day by day. Jesus didn’t panic because He knew what God could do and wanted to do in one life that trusted Him. He just wants you to jump in … and .. it only takes a moment …

“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15 New American Standard
