What about God’s part in our life …?

He is a pulling God .. not forcing .. not beating you down .. not breaking your spirit in order to serve Him. God’s standard is immeasurable by our standards. He simply calls you to be holy in all of your life. He already knows it is an impossible task without His indwelling life making a home. Strangely enough, God isn’t finished with you. He knows the worried lines .. fearful steps of faith .. and the inside places and how you respond under pressure. God’s aim for you is far higher that you could ever live up to. Your role is simply to fix your eyes on Jesus and He will lead you to your next step.He hasn’t left it up to  you. He knows that the world will be relentless in it’s desire to for you to come under its influence. God is in the life-shaping business .. yours included. He’s not pushing although it may feel like it. he’s revealing the life of His Son in you. So, you can bring everything  of your life into the into the God-shaping life. It only takes a moment … and maybe even a longer moment.

“Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You;ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings out the best of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:2 The Message
