“Why not help us make a fresh start — a resurrection life? Then your people will laugh and sing! Show us how much you love us, God! Give us the salvation we need!” Psalm 85:6-7 The Message

Do you find yourself asking God for something over and over …?

You may have an ongoing question that you are continually asking God. It may not be a question as much as an ongoing conversation that sighs and groans out of your heart. We long for resurrection life because it means something has been done inside of me that frees me from being me … the trapped me .. the messed up me … the carrying-all-of-the-baggage-around me. It means a fresh start .. a God-smiling start. We long for fresh love everyday .. for a God-sourced .. God-completing .. God-accepting .. and God-helping love. We long for a laughter that pours out of our hearts and spirits with new life. Jesus knows that about you. He knows what holds you back from living free in the fresh-starting-resurrection life he gives. That’s why the JesusLife is the only Life that makes you truly alive. You can’t sustain your life today on yesterday. It will fade or become a decay that weighs you down day after day. The Life that Jesus offers you today is a God-helping life. You don’t have to try harder to earn it. Jesus went through every single item .. every messy footstep .. every speck of darkness .. every ounce of control in your life so that you can be made alive in Him. It is the Life you have today in Christ. He is a helping God … help for you today .. this moment .. in every area of your life. It’s yours today! It only takes a  moment …

“That’s what Christ did definitely: sufered because of others’ sin, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all — was put to death and then made alive — to bring us to God.” 1 Peter 3:18 The Message
