How does God describe the work He is doing in you …?
Generously .. Inexhaustible .. Indefatigable .. Extravagantly. This is the work that God is doing in you through the resurrection life of Jesus. It is the very life He wants you to experience and generously give away in the world you live in. God isn’t asking you to figure it out on your own or exhaust yourself trying to “live” the Christian life. What He has done for you in the life of His Son .. He promises to do in you in the life of His Son. When you were at your very worst … He was making peace between you and Him. When you are at your best … It can only be explained through the life that Christ is living in you. You are God’s masterpiece … He means it! And He wants you to walk .. and live .. and love from this very foundation. God isn’t generous because you earned or possessed good intentions. He’s generous because it is Who He is. His patience for you is inexhaustible because it is Who He is. His love for you is indefatigable .. untiring .. never-quitting .. never-giving-up .. because it is Who He is. His faithfulness to you is extravagant because it is Who He is. God knows intimately the world you live in .. how you grew up .. what influenced you .. the good and bad choices you have made along the way .. the temptations you personally face .. the struggles you carry in your heart .. the fears you try to hide .. your day-to-day stuff. And still … He generously pours out His love to you through His Spirit. This is the life of a Follower of Jesus .. It only takes a moment …
