“The Lord is my light and salvation — so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble” Psalm 27:1 New Living Translation

Jesus wants to be the light of your life. He won’t force his life upon you or compete for your heart. He openly promises to be the light of your life today .. the light that leads your steps .. the light that guides you .. and the light that fills you with His joy to make you whole. He is all this more for every man or woman who trusts him with all their heart. And he knows just how deep your heart has been hurt and infected by living in a fallen world. He is real strength for today. He is not the strength that comes from exhausting yourself and then asking for His help. He is the strength that comes with trust .. a trust that God is good and promises good for anyone who places their lives in His hands .. and those hands have real nail scars  .. that became saving hands for your life. His life is the only light that repels the darkness around your life. His saving life and indwelling power  will drive out the fear and predators that try to steal the joy of His life in you. What do you fear today that only God can handle?  What will be your real strength today? Who will be your strength today?  It only takes a moment …

“The Lord  is my strength and  shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7 New Living Translation
