“Going through the motions doesn’t please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.” Psalm 51:16-17 The Message

What does God want from you …?

When it comes to your life .. God understands. He understands what makes you tick .. what ticks you off .. and what is uniquely you. And what He wants from you is your heart ready to be loved .. really loved .. maybe for the first time or maybe just opened once again to the One whose love “never quits”. If it were only that easy. In between God and your heart is you .. the you that tries to make life:  into ‘a flawless performance’ .. at least good enough to get by .. protected from being hurt .. pride intact .. and self preserved from failing and falling down. That is the you that doesn’t need a God who loves to restore a shattered heart .. redeem a flawed mess .. or rescue a lost life. But He does … time and time again. He is the Pursuing One who sees the shattered life … the wounded pride … and the worn-out-life-performer. And He is pursing your heart .. the very places inside of you where God’s love makes you whole .. gives you strength to worship .. and pours into your life a thankfulness for the goodness of God’s unfailing love for every moment of this day. This is the gift of Jesus who steps right into the center of your life .. right at the places where you least expect to find him .. right at those broken places and right into those places of chaos and confusion … and He says” You are loved with an everlasting love “. Find your true home in My Life. It only takes a moment …

“I’m ready now to worship, so ready. I thank you, God — you’re so good. You got me out of every scrape, and I saw my enemies get it.” Psalm 54:6-7 The Message
