“God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I’m alert to God’s ways; I don’t take God for granted.” Psalm 18:20-21 The Message

How does God know …?

God knows exactly .. to the very last cell in your body .. right up to the last breath you just took .. what all the pieces of your life look like put back together through His restoring .. reconstructing .. rewriting love. It isn’t that He is waiting around for you to come to your senses before He will make your life complete. He just knows perfectly how to work intimately and incarnationally in your life in such a way that you can breathe and take the next step in Christ. Life in Christ is a “fresh start” .. an “alert to God’s ways” way of life. He knows how to bring all the pieces of your life together and give you what you could never do on your own: Come alive .. Become whole .. and Learn how to love. He’s using all the parts and pieces .. the ones you’ve discarded .. the ones you’ve  hidden .. and the ones you are afraid to bring out into the light of this new day. He knows where you are afraid .. that’s why God has gone to such lengths for you to review how far He will go to redeem and reclaim what has been discarded .. forgotten .. unforgiven .. and thrown away as worthless. Life in Jesus is a life that says: I feel put back together. And only Jesus has the power to regenerate severed nerves and a life-scarred heart. It only takes a moment .. a God-moment that connects all of the pieces of your life .. and begins to make life .. resurrected-life .. out of once life-less pieces.

“Every day I review the way he works; I try not miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.” Psalm 18:22-24 The Message
