“But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this. Pursue a righteous life–a life of wonder, faith, steadiness, courtesy. Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:10-11 The Message

Are you running on the “ancient path”?

But you … not someone else … you? Are you running the path that leads you to a life of wonder?  Are you running the path of the life you were called to? Do you know the “high calling” of being called “man of God or woman of God? It means your life is defined by God .. you belong to Him … your life’s actions .. relationships .. and your faith show the world you live in that “real life” finds meaning .. purpose .. and security trusting in the overwhelming grace found through Jesus Christ. Running on God’s path is not about you running in your own strength. It is about you living the life that reveals the daily truth that Christ lives in you. Guard it … Pursue it … Seize it … Run hard and fast … not in your strength but in Jesus. But you … not someone else … you? Are you going to walk the ancient path of Jesus that only takes a moment?

“And on, my dear Timothy, guard the treasure you were given! Guard it with your life. Avoid the talk-show religion and the practiced confusion of the so-called experts. People caught up in a lot of talk can miss the whole point of faith. Overwhelming grace keep you!” 1 Timothy 6:20-21 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
