“They came, tons of them, bringing along the paraplegic, the blind, the maimed, the mute — all sorts of people in need — and more or less threw them down at Jesus’ feet to see what he would do with them. He healed them….” Matt. 15:30 The Message

Who are you bringing…?

“They” are part of your everyday life. “They” may be in your home or your marriage. “They” may be close friends. “They” may be men and women you see everyday at work. They are wounded … worn down … depressed … paralyzed in spirit … blind to God’s help … abused and silenced in shame. They are “in need”. Would you dare to bring them to Jesus? It may cost your time .. your reputation .. your money. But … who will heal them if not Jesus? You may have been one of them at one time. Someone brought you to Jesus and he healed you … because that is what He does … and who He is! Is your life pointing to the God who is “blazingly alive among us”? Who would you bring to the feet of Jesus this moment? Will you place them there now … this moment. You’ll do it if you really believe that Jesus will heal them. There is No One Else who will heal by lifting them out of depression and paralyzed places .. loving them in the lonely places of abuse and rejection .. healing them of life crushing dis-ease .. giving them sight to see more than this fallen world .. speaking words of hope and blessing into shame filled lives ..  and walking grace to live with Jesus in the world they live in everyday . Only Jesus takes lives thrown at His feet and turns them into astonishing lives of love. “They” are part of your world. Will you step into their world for Jesus? It only takes a moment…

“When the people saw the mutes speaking, the maimed healthy, the paraplegics walking around, the blind looking around, they were astonished and let everyone know that God was blazingly alive among them.” Matt 15:31 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
