“God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day — our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. 1 John 4:17 The Message

What does a JesusLife look like …?

Home … the very place Christ lives in you … the place in your life where Jesus has the run of the house … the very place you call home in the heart of God. The JesusLife is a permanent residence in your life. He isn’t going to move in temporarily. He isn’t going to just rearrange the inside of your life. He isn’t going to love you differently than He loves His Father. He has moved in and is transforming everything in your life so He can live freely and fully in every room of your life. He’s not in a hurry as you count hurry. You can’t keep separate residences .. one for day activities and one for night activities.  One of the deepest longings of your life is to live intimately in Christ’s love. When Christ has a permanent residence in your life .. you’ll discover just how rooted you are in the love of Christ .. you’ll discover just what a Real Home looks and feels like in God’s love .. you’ll discover that you will fear less because you are loving others like Jesus loves you. For some it is simple .. Jesus has moved in and that makes their life solid. For others .. living everyday as a Christ-Follower confronts you with an endless assortment of Christ-less-living choices. Jesus says: God is love. If you’ll move in .. He’ll show you what that means in your life and in the world you live in. Many prefer to choose temporary homes on a trial basis. But Jesus promises that if you “move-in” you’ll live in God’s love and God’s love will be your real home. It is the home you always wanted .. and it only takes a moment …

“I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love. That’s what I’ve done — kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in his love.” John 15:9-10 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
