“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” John 1:14 The Message

What makes Jesus so different …?

He had an everyday “neighborhood-kind-of-life”. He can move into any area or any heart and not be a stranger. His life is open to anyone inside and out. He’s got nothing to hide and everything of himself to give away. He never forces anyone to follow him. He knows the only true freedom you will ever experience is in his life. He made fishermen his closest friends .. an unwanted Tax-Man represented him. He touched lepers and other unwanted men and women. He freed a woman caught in the act. He restored a mentally ill man to his family. He cried when his friend died. He took ordinary men and promised them that their lives would shape the world. He has never stopped praying for us. He reconciles all things and holds all things together through his risen life. He is always available. There is no real freedom in any life without HisLife moving into their lives. It only takes a moment …

“Christ  has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.” Galatians 5:1 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
