“God, your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children’s hearts, freeing you to love God, your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live.” Deut. 30:6 The Message

How far will God go…?

You started this day just like everyone in the world you live in. There are places in your heart that are self-callused … sin-callused ..  and scar-callused. You may wonder if healing is possible. You may not even wonder about it at all anymore. You may wonder how long you can keep going before others notice the calluses. There is only One who really matters. And God .. the Nurturing One .. the Healing One .. the Freeing One .. the Never-Letting-Go One sees ever callus in your life and in your whole family’s lives as well. How far will He go…? He doesn’t leave it up to you to cut away all those hardened .. crusty .. numbed places of your heart. He knows you’ll make a mess trying to clean up your own life and not even “cut away” the real places that imprison you or leave you feeling nothing. So … He goes to work … drawing you closer … cutting away all those life-stealing scars and sins … freeing you to live whole and really alive … writing upon your heart that you belong to Jesus … Cross-promising that He will never let you go. So … you are free to run today. You can run towards Jesus … You can run into the world you live in .. You can live today knowing that Christ is grace-gripping your life. It only takes a moment …

“Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go.” John 6:37 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
