“God wants us to know the whole truth and tell it in love — like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16 The Message
Are you keeping the main ingredient fresh and available …?
You were made with it. You’ve abused it .. taken advantage of it .. neglected it .. and treated it as if it were common and worth very little. It is supposed to be in everything that you say and do. It’s God main ingredient in you: Christ’s-Love. Just as He is in everything that has to do with your life .. so His love in you is to be in everything connected to you. He’s the source. And too often we let ourselves run on rationed supplies when Jesus wants to flood and fill every room of your life. You can picture Him going room by room through the years of your life .. filling in .. repairing .. restoring .. making new. You know He wants to connect your life to His in such a way that people will see and experience the love of Christ through you. In fact they will love you and you will find your self being loved by this same Jesus. His life nourishes and grows us healthy in God’s love. God knew this about your life when He first came after you. He wants the run of the house and He knows exactly where you will resist .. where you will hide .. and even where you will throw the doors wide open. Are you going out with fresh supplies? The world you live in runs on every abuse of love imaginable. You don’t have to be shocked by it .. you already know that if Christ is not the everything source .. it will run out .. leave residues of fear .. and leave others undernourished. He’ll lead you on this path of love .. a renewing . forgiving .. fully forming love that leaves you resting in your heart: He loved me first. There ‘s room for you in this Jesus .. spacious and roomy .. uncrowded .. fit together with Cross harmonies. And the good part: He’s risen and his resurrection life changes everything. It only takes a moment …
God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house. … Well-formed love banishes fear. SInce fear is crippling, a fearful life — fear of death, fear of judgment — is one not yet fully formed in love. We, though, are going to love — love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first. 1 John 4:17-19 The Message
