“It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard about Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the over all purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.” Ephesians 1:11-12 The Message

Living a life of a whole-life identification ….

Jesus forgives, he restores, and he loves. You are forgiven, so you forgive and learn to forgive and keep on forgiving. It is called love … a love that comes from all that God is and all that God gives.  For instance, when is the last time you experienced real forgiveness?  When is the last time you extended real forgiveness? (A.Hawkins) You quickly discover that in-Christ a forgiven life has something to live for … everyday and with everyone. Any life not found alive through Christ is a life-lived-in-hiding .. self-insulated from real hurt (confession) .. real forgiveness .. and real love. Who am I — What am I living for? Jesus isn’t trying make you beg for His help or fail enough before you will truly turn to Him. It can’t be any clearer or any simpler. Real forgiveness .. Real confession .. and Real love. This is the life-in-Christ that smashes the lies of this world’s false promises of independence and continuous self-directed designs at living. He is always personal .. always relational .. and always dependable over your life. God really does want to love you with all He’s got so you will live securely in all that He  is for you today. He’s found in the worst messes and the best plans. He’s found in the deepest secrets and the darkest habits. He’s found in the most self-inflicted and sin-infested places imaginable. (And that’s just in your heart!) There is only one real hope for this day … and it only takes a moment .. no matter how faint the whisper or how far the distance .. Jesus is the Only One who will love you with all that He’s got .. and it has a glorious design …

“Love us God with all you’ve got — that’s what we’re depending on.” Psalm 33:22 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
