“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called as one body, and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 NASB

How is it possible to be ruled by Peace…?

It is impossible to be ruled by Peace unless Jesus has become your peace. You can’t manufacture it. You can’t force it. You can’t even hold on to it in your own strength. Jesus breaks down all the walls of conflict .. suspicion .. resentment ..unforgiveness .. rejection .. and avoidance. He could create peace through sheer power .. but He doesn’t. He could force you to make peace as a condition of his love .. but He doesn’t. He could demand that you accept peace on his terms and his alone .. but He doesn’t. Instead .. He became your Peace by placing his life over every peace-starved place in your heart. He became the peace you longed for in your life. And it is yours today ..freely and fully in the indwelling life of the Peace-Making .. Peace-Keeping .. and Peace-ruling of Jesus. There isn’t one area of your life outside His Healing-Peace touch. And there are no “limits” to how far Jesus will go to make you whole inside and out. He is your peace .. between God .. and your peace between others. He is your peace in your marriage and your family. His peace is the only rule that frees you to love with a strength not your own .. and the grace to give others in a way that they see Jesus. And this is His holy rule for your life .. and it only takes a moment …

“He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.” Ephesians 2:17-18 NLT

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
