“Look, Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people , he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good — tears gone, crying gone, pain gone — all the first order of things gone.” Rev 21:3-4 The Message

This isn’t your real home …?

It has never been or ever will be your true home. You’ve heard messages your whole life that this life is your one chance to live .. For yourself .. For others .. And always for yourself. After all .. Your stuff his yours. You deserve it and have earned the “right” to call our own shots. The only problem is the life-contract you signed with Jesus said explicitly that you relinquished your rights to run the show and instead accepted life on Christ’s terms. Your real life is “in Christ” … And that means you will live this life in His Life .. His way .. “unforced rhythms of grace”. And God has announced even better news today: He’s making his home in you. You are His .. Adopted .. Accepted .. And loved in every corner and closet of your life. You’ll experience your own set of bruises and rejections as you try to live whole- hearted in starve-hearted world. But you belong to Christ. His life cannot ever be taken from you and your life cannot be taken from his hands. It means everything in your life is in His hands.
It means your hands can hold everything lightly. And it you having trouble .. It only takes a moment …
“Your old is dead? Your new life, which is your real life — even though invisible to spectators — is with Christ in God. He is your real life. When Christ ( your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you ‘ll show up too — the real you.” Colossians 3:3-4a The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
