“Oh, thank God — he’s so good! His love never runs out. … He put your feet on a wonderful road that took you straight to a good place to live. .. He led you out of your dark cell, broke open the jail and led you out. … He spoke the word that healed you. that pulled you back from the brink of death. .. He quieted the wind down to a whisper, put a muzzle on all the big waves. … If you are really wise, you’ll think this over — it’s time you appreciated God’s deep love.” Psalm 107:1,7,14,20,29,43 The Message

GIIC–AHM–BIAH …?

God is in control –and has my — best interests at heart: This is not a statement of resignation that you make after you have tried everything in your own power. It is the fresh truth about God that greets you every morning. His love never runs out. You can’t exhaust God’s love for you. You can wander around and miss it. You can end up in dark places. You can suffer in the midst of great sickness and injury. You can find yourself trapped in a whirlwind and raging storm. Any of this or all of it may be part of your life. And still .. you cannot exhaust God’s saving, freeing, healing, calming love for you. In fact, your life’s calling is found in growing deeper and deeper in love with Christ. Grace is the life that God has given you to learn how to love Him and discover how to love yourself and others with that same love. He’s given you this life in Christ. So if you are going to learn how to love you’ve got to learn how Jesus loved then and loves now! You’ll make mistakes but you don’t have to fear: God’s love never runs out. If you’re going to grow in grace you’ll discover that it is found when you are wandering lost at times. If you’re going to grow in grace you’ll find it when the world you live in is slowly imprisoning you in shame, guilt, anger, and unforgiveness. If you’re going to grow in grace you’ll find it when you call out to God in desperate situations. If you’re going to understand Jesus, you have to make room for him in your heart .. not just shelf space but room for Him to live in you .. grow in you .. and lead you. He’s going to step into every room of your life with His crucified life and His risen life. It will hurt at times. It will leave you rested and renewed at times. It will create an even deeper longing to know Christ. And the great secret about God? He’s ready to begin at the moment you’re ready to begin. “His love never runs out” …. it only takes a moment …

“Grow in grace and understanding of our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ. Glory to the Master, now and forever! Yes! 2 Peter 3:18 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
