“God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.” 1 Cor. 1:9 The Message
Trusting .. Following .. and Living in the Faith-Fullness of God …?
You will never have enough “faith” in your own accomplishments .. in your own relationship with Christ .. or even in your own ability to face or fight temptation. What is stronger than your faith is the faith-full-ness that God has for you. He is the One who fills up your faith and always seems to arrive when you are at the end of your rope .. at the end of fighting the battles .. and at the end of yourself. “He will never give up on you” … “He will never let you down or be pushed past your limit.” God has a different measuring line when it comes to your faith. We are prone to believing or leaning on our faith supply to get us through a situation or help us when we are tempted. The world you live in constantly whispers and wears you down to believing that God has given up on you because you did not have enough faith. You failed the test or gave in to the temptation because you didn’t have enough faith. If you’re going to be a Christ-follower you’ve got to walk with a victorious faith .. a believing faith .. a filled up faith. Anything less and you obviously don’t have faith. It’s a lie. What is this faith? It is that God is faithful to you. He won’t give up on you. He won’t walk out on you. Behind anyone of great faith is story of brokenness .. a journey of just learning to live in the Christ-wholeness of today .. and the foolish certainty that God not only loves me but that He’s not going to give up on me. What is this faith? It is the love of Jesus that holding me together when everything feels like it is falling apart. What is this faith? It is the invitation to not walk alone but be joined with a few others who will be my strength when you’ve run out. God’s faith-full-ness is Christ filling me up with His life .. resurrection life .. life out of the grave. Are you needing some extra faith today? Then Jesus is where you start .. and it only takes a moment …
“No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.” 1 Cor. 10:13
