“So don’t be afraid: I’m with you. I’ll round up all your scattered children , pull them in from east and west. I’ll send orders north and south: Send them back. Return my sons from distant lands, my daughters from faraway places. I want them back, every last one who bears my name, every man, woman, and child … Whom I created for my glory, yes, personally formed and made each one.” Isaiah 43:5-7 The Message

You’re not on the list …?

God is gracious and compassionate .. Slow to anger (long-suffering) .. Abounding in love , faithfulness , and truthfulness. It is Who He is. He’s never changed and never will. However, there are moments and seasons in your life where you may think or entertain the thought that the Lord has changed His mind about you. The Lord spoke and wrote it down 2700 years before you were born about the outcome of your life .. of any life that has been made alive through trusting .. believing .. accepting .. and receiving the gift of new life in Christ. Your life has been personally formed to display the glory of God’s indefatigable love. The Lord formed you .. shaped your life .. and came looking for you when you wandered off and maybe even given up. Yes .. He knows all about your sins .. every last one of them .. and still He’s taken care of every one of your list-making sins. Except .. His list onlynhas your name .. whole and perfect .. because He has taken care of everything in your life that you thought would keep you out. Can it be that easy? Yes and no. God came after you in real time .. With a real saving death .. With his real Saving Son .. With the whole purpose of giving you real life .. real love .. and real hope in the lifeless — loveless — hopeless world that you live in.

“But I, yes I, am the one who takes care of your sins — that’s what I do. I don’t keep a list of your sins.” Isaiah 43:25 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
