“I’ve bathed him with my Spirit, my life. He’ll set everything right among the nations. He won’t call attention to what he does with loud speeches or gaudy parades. He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant, but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right. He won’t tire out and quit. He won’t be stopped until he’s finished his work — to set things right on earth …” Isaiah 42:2-4 The Message

What kind of life would God live in you?

His own skin-life is described as SomeOne who is “bathed” in God’s Spirit. He’s got time .. real-time for you when you are bruised and hurt. And most of the time only God knows the true extent of your bruises and hurts. He doesn’t disregard or discount the smallest or insignificant wounds in your life. His whole plan in you is for you to know life on His terms .. bathed in His Spirit. He knows that you’ll tire out and maybe quit without His life in you. No amount of self-effort or self-promises will make you whole and secure in yourself. God alone knows exactly how far .. how wide .. and how deep His life and love must go in your life for you to be whole … in yourself. You can’t compare your life with others to determine how well you are doing or judge how well life is “working out”. You’ll find “You” when you find Him .. Jesus .. and discover the freedom of no longer being defined by sin. You’ll find “You” when you find Him .. Jesus .. and discover that He is in the “steadily and firmly” business of putting your life together through His life. You’ll find “You” when you find Him .. Jesus .. and open your hands and heart to the deep prosperity of His love bathing you over and over. It happens in the best of times and the worst of times. The worst is not His rejection and the best is not His acceptance. God prospers your life through His Son .. not your results .. not your performance .. and not your promises. Jesus is the sin offering of your life .. for every sin in you. You can’t handle one life failure by yourself. You were never meant to. As one Major for Christ travelled the world he said: “You can’t and He never said you could. He can and always said He would.” What kind of life would God live in you? A Son-bathed life … and it only takes a moment …

” … The plan was that he give himself as an offering for sin so that he’d see life come from it — life, life, and more life. And God’s plan will deeply prosper through him.” Isaiah 53:10 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
