When God Heals …?

January 11, 2011

“The Messiah has made things up between us so that we’re now together on this, both non-Jewish outsiders and Jewish insiders. He tore down the wall we used to keep each other at distance.” Ephesians 2:14 The Message

Tearing down walls …?

Jesus has done what no one has ever done. He’s torn down all the barriers and walls that separate us from each other. He’s torn down our separating .. justifying .. defensive points of view so that we might discover the fresh start we begin together in Christ. Differences can last years. Sides are chosen and relationships are splintered. Walls are built on hurts .. opinions .. and judgments. Lives are separated and love turns inward leading to death. And then it happened .. Jesus stepped into the heart of darkness that keeps our hearts from healing with each other. He’s torn down the walls .. the differences .. the broken points of views that keep us alone and lonely. Christ is our peace and we are called to let the “peace of Christ rule in our hearts.” The world sees what they can never achieve and the body of Christ experiences the life Jesus making peace where wounds would destroy and divide. Love turns outward and upward and lives are healed. This is your life .. your path .. and your fresh start as you follow Christ today. He’s made peace .. He is your peace .. and He gives you the very peace the makes you whole. It only takes a moment ..

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, remembering that as members of the one body you are called to live in harmony, and never forget to be thankful for what Christ has done for you.” Colossians 3:15 J. B. Phillips Translation

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
