A Natural Death …?

January 18, 2011

“What you’re after is truth from the inside out. Enter me, then, conceive a new, true life.” Psalm 51:6 The Message

Does it “all” have to go …? (1)

A brother in Christ named Nate wrote it down. Before he wrote it .. he lived through it. Actually, he didn’t make it. What was once a natural part of him had to die a un-natural death. Out of that grave his “new” life wrote this down: “We are “all” of us born into this world as … Natural Liars” We begin lying to ourselves about ourselves. We want to believe that we aren’t “that” person capable of saying anything to protect ourselves. We are! We’ll even try to convince God that our intentions are good. And to be safe .. we’ll try to convince others they were wrong about us. It took a God-hearted King a multilayered conspiracy of death to face his natural-lying self. It took another Cross-hearted King to kill the natural liar inside of you by paying for every lie you will ever utter. That way His truth could begin to work from the inside out. It was the only Way for the Truth to become new Life in you. It “all” has to go and Jesus will never quit or give up on the “good work” He has begun in you. Will you let Him give your “natural liar” an un-natural death? It only takes a moment …

“But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is.” John 16:13 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
