A Natural Death…?

“Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14:23 English Standard Version

Does it “all” have to go …? (3)

You were born a “Natural Wanderer”. You don’t have to travel to be a wanderer. Your mind can wander.. just as your heart and spirit can wander as well. You were born that way. And it takes all of Jesus making His home in you for you to find real peace. You’ll never find it on the outside. No amount of anything can give you the life-settling peace you long for. It’s “nChrist” that you find true peace and real prosperity at home in your life. His peace is that heart-guarding reality that brings you home and settles you down. It’s not a quality of life but the very life of Jesus .. risen and settling down in your life. He’ll go room by room .. no matter how long it takes .. for you to know the freedom and peace that you possess in your heart through faith. You may still wander out of long developed habits .. but you don’t have to keep walking in that direction. He’ll give you the strength to walk in another direction. He’ll give you the strength to rest from all wanderings of your mind. And He’ll be your strength today for everything and everyone you meet. Jesus couldn’t describe it any clearer: If you “love” me .. you’ll keep my word .. and the Father and I will make our home in you. How much room are you giving Him? It’s easy to make Him a guest. He wants the whole run of your house. And Jesus doesn’t ask you to clean it up in your own strength. He’ll move in .. give thanks .. bless .. clean up and restore .. and then throw the doors of your life “wide open”. Jesus offers you this unbelievable package today: Leave your Natural Wanderings behind and let Me change you into an Adopted Wonder. It only takes a moment …

“By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.” Romans 5:1-2

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
