“Look. This coal has touched your lips. Gone your guilt, your sins wiped out.” And then I heard the voice of the Master: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I spoke up, “I’ll go, send me!” Isaiah 6:7-8 The Message

Who will go …?

It would be so much easier if an angel flew to your side and touched your lips with the burning .. sin-searing .. sin-wiping coals of God’s love. Then you would know. You could remember back to the that moment when life seems flat .. forgotten .. and un-fruitful. But .. It is not that way. The way of Christ is a walk of faith .. trusting .. believing .. and guarding this holy love worked into your life by the Holy Spirit. Your very work is just this: living this life of love that is yours in Christ .. living it in the “world” you are in today. God wants you to know deeply and intimately how much He loves you. His Holy Spirit is at this very moment seeking to awaken and anchor this truth in you. The Lord isn’t looking for guilty servants but grace-filled servants. “Send me” is an act of worship. It’s you offering your life for Jesus to use in the life of another. And your part…? Keeping yourself in the center of Christ’s love. It’s the love of Christ that holds you .. and it is the love of Christ that frees you to live and serve. It only takes a moment …

“So keep at your work, this faith and love rooted in Christ, exactly as I set it out for you. It’s as sound as the day you first heard it from me. Guard this precious thing placed in your custody by the Holy Spirit who works in us.” 2Timothy 1:13-14 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
