His Workmanship

February 24, 2011

“I feel sure that the one who has begun his good work in you will go on developing it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 J.B. Phillips Translation

Your design or His …?

God has a design for your life. He didn’t just give you a new life and then leave it up to you to try and figure out how to live your life as a Christ-follower. He began a a new work in you the very moment He found you wandering around trying to figure out how to live. He began a “good work” in you the moment the finished work of the Cross covered your life. He’s continued this good work in the ongoing life you posses as a resurrected follower of Jesus. Your old life .. Your crucified life .. Your risen life are all part of God’s “good work” in you. On top of that .. You are his workmanship. You are God’s personal design .. created in Christ to show the greatness and the grace of God’s work in your life. You may feel incomplete or at times forgotten, but you aren’t. Your are God’s personal and promised Son-design. As you grow in this knowledge .. You’ll begin to see the places where God has put you to be his ambassador of grace. You’re His design. And it only takes a moment …

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do those good deeds which God planned for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 J.B. Phillips Translation

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
