“And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.” 1 John 5:11-12 New Living Translation
Respectfully confusing or Abundantly clear …?
Why do you follow Jesus? Because He saved you .. rescued you .. delivered you .. freed you and found you …? Because He made sense of all the broken pieces of your life …? Because His love changed your life …? If so .. your life message everyday is fairly straightforward and simple: You owe your life to Jesus and there is no greater gift than sharing that life with others. Why is so hard ..? Because we want to respect others space and privacy. But God didn’t wait for you that way. He came after you long before you wanted anything to do with Him. He loved .. you didn’t love back .. He loved you some more .. you ran away faster .. He kept loving you .. and one day that love that never gave up on you changed you. It was not a faceless love. It was not an impersonal love. It was not a distant love. God offered you Life through His Son. The same offer made to you is the same offer you are to make to others in the world you live in. It takes all of us time .. sometimes a long time to get comfortable in the skin of believing. And believing is a very public business. How you believe in this life-giving Son affects every relationship in your life. It doesn’t turn you into a rude robot of bible answers. You become a grace-filled friend willing to share the same grace to un-graceful people and sometimes in very ungracious circumstances. Your life has a message and God wants your life to show the living reality of His Son .. alive in you .. and you alive in Him. In the midst of this journey is a process of moving parts .. past and present .. arriving and intersecting at the worst moments and right on time .. to show that the life you have is none other than this Son-life. In this God wants your life to be abundantly clear. It only takes a moment …
“But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.” John 20:31 New Living Translation
