Just Another Day …

May 16, 2011

“So, we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.” 2 Cor. 4:16 The Message

Where are you drawing your strength for today …?

Whatever you are facing today .. God’s grace is fresh for your life. If you’re following Jesus .. you have decided that Christ is “the foundation that makes your life worth living”. There are any number of sources vying for your attention and affection today. They all “promise” to make your life better or to comfort you amidst the struggle. One of the great truths of following Jesus today is that He knows exactly what you are facing in your life. He has promised to be your strength .. your comfort .. your help .. your rest .. your rock .. your deliverer .. your shelter .. your friend .. your light .. your shepherd .. and risen Lord. You live in a fallen world and everything is falling down all around you. The newest breakthrough in every field is one day closer to being obsolete except Jesus. He is making a new life in you that gets better and better over time. It doesn’t feel that way all the time. There are moments and seasons where it feels like everything is falling down in and around you. But His resurrection life means your life .. which is no longer your own .. is becoming far better than you can live on your own. Jesus offers you the grace you need for today. You’ll find it in His life. It only takes a moment …

“Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.” 2 Cor. 5:14-15 The Message

Ken Chester: Grace-Gripped is sent M-F

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
