God’s Walking Plan

June 19, 2011

“You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.” Psalm 119:1 The Message

We come in all shapes .. colors .. and backgrounds. Some struggle everyday with who they see in the mirror. Some struggle to be seen for who they are on the inside. Some struggle with the background that framed their life.  It doesn’t take very many steps into the day to realize how unsatisfying it is to live it in your own strength. You never get time to rest because life is up to you to make it happen. It’s up to you to walk a path you create and maintain. It doesn’t take very long to realize that the world you live in judges you by what you consume. You can dress for success and all the while feel like an enslaved failure on the inside. You can create a whole new background for your life .. a whole new look ..  but you’ ll never be free. And yet .. God used men and women just like you to write down what life means when it is lived,  joined and nourished in the Lord’s presence. A blessed life is who you are in Christ. It isn’t what you do. It’s who you are becoming as you follow Jesus. There will be obstacles today. Some or them you will create and some will just happen throughout the course of a day. Staying the course is walking a path today that reminds you who He is and what He has done for you. God’s daily law was written for you to know that the Lord is on your side. His greatest joy is found in watching you trust Him as He lives His life through you. You were once very dead on God’s side of things and now In Christ you are alive to celebrate His life everyday. It isn’t a foot race .. it’s a walk with Jesus and His Spirit. You are blessed when  you stay on course .. walking steadily on the road revealed by God. If you’ve  been away for a while .. then start today to walk in the path the Lord has for you. It only takes a moment …

“Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set…” Psalm 119:5 The Message

Ken Chester: Grace-Gripped is sent M-F to Papa-loved followers of Jesus and friends of Priority One

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
