The God who could be …

June 30, 2011

“Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.” Ps. 54:4 New American Standard

God could be anything He wants to be. He could do anything He wants to do. He can be anywhere He wants to be. But what does He chose to be?? Your Helper. He wants to help you today as you live your life. He knows what that means. He can’t force you. He’s not going to drop you when you become stubborn .. rebellious .. and at times refuse His help. It takes a lot to “sustain” your life. Food .. Acceptance .. Forgiveness .. Trust .. Becoming whole .. Becoming the real you .. Becoming your heavenly Father’s indefatigably loved kid. And the God who could do anything .. Be anyone .. Be anywhere will go to unimaginable lengths to be your Helper today. And what will He do to sustain you? Create a clean heart .. Renew your worn and weary spirit .. Fill you freshly with His Spirit .. Restore your joy .. With His Joy of you .. and Sustain you with a willing spirit. And from that you will discover a life that comes alongside others with the One you call Helper and Sustainer. They’ll see Jesus … It only takes a moment …

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will be converted to You.” Ps. 51:10-13 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
