A New Day …

July 25, 2011

“But you dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life.” Jude 20-21 The Message

Today is a new day. It is fresh in the grace of God .. His unconditional .. unending .. never-failing love for you. It is fresh in the Holy Spirit leading, guiding, shaping, comforting, protecting, and reminding you of who you are in Christ. It is fresh in God’s promise to keep you in His presence .. to guard your heart with His indwelling peace .. and to proclaim your life blameless in His presence. It’s going to be a full day. And that doesn’t include all the stuff that you carry into this day. It’s a lie to think that you have to carry burdens and worries into the day hoping that the Lord will give you some help. The help that Jesus offers you today comes with”glory .. majesty .. dominion .. and authority”. His life brings a “great joy” that reaches into the deepest parts of your life. You don’t have to carry your past. He’s already carried once and for all as Savior. The “real life” that Christ has for you is one built for living in His Spirit .. living in the center of God’s love and living with all-that-you-are for Christ today. It’s going to be a full day for Jesus to live in you .. to love you deeply .. and love through you as you go through the day. This unending life that He has for you today…? It only takes a moment …

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen” Jude 24-25 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
