The Secret Supply …

“Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 New American Standard

It’s yours for the asking .. for the receiving .. for the finding. It’s hidden right out in the open for anyone who runs to Jesus. There are times when you don’t have the strength to run or even take the next step .. and guess what? He comes running for you. It’s a throne of grace … not punishment. If you’ve blown it .. you don’t have to wait or try to fix it on your own before you step up to the grace-throne. The supply of His grace is an “unbreakable spiritual lifeline”. If there was a door it would read: THEREFORE. THEREFORE since Jesus has taken all of your dis-grace on the Cross you can run .. walk .. limp .. be carried .. crawl .. or just reach out from where you sit and receive His mercy and find All of the grace you need. You don’t have to put on appearances. You can come into His presence just as you are. You can grab hold of God’s promise with both hands and never let go. And if your hands should become weak .. guess what? His hands will never let go of you. His strength will not waver for one moment. His grace is permanent. It’s not going to fade away and you’re not going to reach past His limit. His grace isn’t just for those big moments. It’s for all the moments of your day .. the unnoticed ones .. the unrelated ones .. and the ever-demanding ones. It’s for interruptions .. irritations .. and impatience. It’s for temptations .. struggles .. and failures. It’s God’s Secret Supply and it’s available to you all day long .. anywhere. And the secret…? It only takes a moment …

“We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.” Hebrews 6:18-20 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
