What really happens between God and you …

August 8, 2011

“It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God –“Jesus is my Master” — embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything: you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation.” Romans 10:8-9 The Message

Knowing who you are in Christ is who you can trust as you are in the battle. And everyday your life and others live out the Song: Broken lives are made new .. Fears are washed away .. Shame is swallowed up .. Guilt is taken away .. Sins are forgotten .. Failures fade away .. Grace pours and pours and pours .. Hearts are cleansed .. Peace guards your life .. Scars are made whole .. You begin to see Life .. You begin to life Life .. You begin to love Life .. You are really alive in Christ .. Christ Risen is really alive in you. It doesn’t stop there. Words like freedom .. love .. friend .. grace .. surrender .. forgiveness .. trust .. truth .. praise .. and rest begin to become part of your life in Christ. They become more than words. They become the story of what God is doing in you as you trust Him with the deepest hurt .. the unspoken question .. and let go of holding on to “what’s next?” But … it doesn’t end there. It’s just beginning. God is in the making all things new in you business. Your age doesn’t matter. Your what you used to be doesn’t matter. Your struggle doesn’t matter. God already knows all those things and more. “You’re simply call out to God .. trusting him to do it in you. .. Jesus is my Master” .. and it only takes a moment …

“With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” Romans 10:10 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
