The Lord is …

“The Lord is my light and my salvation — so why should I be afraid. The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” Psalm 27:1 New Living Translation

Nothing about your life escapes from God’s attention and care. You’re not just “one” more item or person on His daily agenda. He is the real light for your day. He is your real salvation. He is your refuge and strength. What brings all the clutter in your heart is all those “things” that try to compete to grab your attention .. drain you with anxiety .. and whisper in your spirit that “you” better look after “you”. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is real fear in living in a fallen world. There is only one foundation that makes life worth living .. and that is living your life In Christ. There is real trouble everyday .. and God has promised to be your refuge and strength. The Lord … God is … Jesus is … . It isn’t enough to just say “gimme Jesus”. He didn’t live that way with His Father. He saw the world through His Father’s eyes and now wants you to see the world through His eyes. It means your life will step into some un-lighted places today .. into uncertainties .. and into worlds swirling with fears — anxieties — and life-draining situations. That’s why Jesus wants to be the Light to your path .. the saving and restoring grace through your day .. and the abiding help who reminds you that you are not alone. God is so much more than someone who just fixes your life. He’s the One who wants to fill your life with grace and peace .. love and joy .. faithfulness and confidence .. and a Life that is abundant with His Life. All you have to do is reach out and He’ll even give you the strength to do that. Who is He in your life today? The Lord is my ….. . It only takes a moment …

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1 New Living Translation

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
