What Kind Of People Does Jesus Really Like…? (2)

September 21, 2011

“Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you enter your kingdom. He said, “Don’t worry, I will. Today you will be with me in paradise.”Luke 23:42-43 The Message

He will never cease to amaze you. When you are on your last grip in life, Jesus continues his true work of shaping your life into His image. A man with nothing received everything because he believed that Jesus would make the difference. You may have blown it, realty blown and you wonder will there ever be a time where Jesus would truly welcome you back. Yes, He does everyday. He’ll walk a beach .. meet over coffee .. look you straight and deeply in your heart and reaffirm His love you and call you to choose Who you are going to follow today. You’re original and intended shape of your life is found in Christ. And for this to happen .. Jesus still comes after his wandering ones. There’s no way back if Jesus doesn’t restore fallen and faraway lives. His 3 questions are not meant to humble you or judge you. He’s striping away all the natural fibers that would deny ever knowing Him and replacing them with His abiding love. Jesus is serious about restoring lives and bringing His healing message of a new life. If you’re serious .. It only takes a moment ….

“then he said a third time? “Simon, son of John, do you love me? Peter was upset that He asked for the third time: “Do you love me?” so he answered , “Master, you know everything there is to know. You’ve got to know that I love you.”

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
