The Sin Stealing Lamb …

November 1, 2011

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29 New Living Translation

He has taken away your sin. And in its place He has filled your life with His love. The depth of your sin and sins cannot even begin to measure against the unfathomable depths of God’s love for you. And for all that to happen it took a leper-touching .. wine-making .. fish-net filling .. condemned-woman freeing .. desert-tempted .. garden-bleeding .. cross-hanging Lamb to take away your sin and the sin of the world. It takes a Lamb that powerful to free your life and open your heart to just how far and wide His life for you and the world really is. He is the Lamb who restores hope when there is no hope. He is the Lamb who “generously pours” and fills your life with His love and His Spirit. He is the Lamb who takes away the suffocating power of sin so you can breathe new life. He is the Lamb who has stolen the darkness out of your life and replaced it with the light of His life. He is the spotless .. unblemished .. faultless Lamb who has covered every spot .. blemish .. and fault of your life. And truthfully .. He didn’t steal anything. He paid for everything that would open the doors of your heart so He could pour .. and pour .. and pour .. and never stop pouring His love into every corner of your life. “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” …. for you today … it only takes a moment …

“In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary — we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit.” … “For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:5 The Message/New Living Translation

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
