The Insiders Secret …

April 26, 2012

“I’m telling you this straight. The Son can’t independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Father loves the Son and includes him in everything he is doing.” John 5:19-20 The Message

When God opens your heart you begin to hear His voice in the clearest and cleanest sounds. Can He really be that clear? Jesus stands in the clear light of day and “explains” His actions. He’s not asked to .. He’s not forced to .. He’s not angry or offended. He simply explains His secret for anyone to hear and to know how real and deep is the life He shared with His Father .. and will share with you. Isn’t that what you really long for inside: to know the Father’s heart and His direction for your life? It’s the same as Jesus: to see what the Father is doing and do it. Why would God the Father show you such secrets? Because He is that in love with you just as much as He loves His Son. And what does He offer? Something so great that it “never runs out .. never wears out”. We often think that God holds back because “you” lack that extra ingredient that lets Him trust you. So we look for formulas and guaranteed steps to secure His blessings. Just look at Jesus: He trusted His Father completely .. absolutely .. and unconditionally. There is where you’ll find His secret in your life. It can seem so frustrating but it isn’t. Jesus will take all the time you need for your heart to come alive so you can hear your Father’s heartbeat and follow His path. He wants you to see and see clearly. And He’ll send along a Friend to help you walk along the same path He walks and will walk through you. Is there any more “reckless abandon” than the Cross? Jesus .. open my heart so that I might see …

“God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it, ‘He throws caution to the winds, giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out'” 2 Cor. 9:8-9 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
