At the Source …

“We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16 The Message

Jesus Christ lived his life with a Name and a Truth that ripples through all of history. His life is the ONLY way to salvation. And His name declares who He is .. What he has done .. and Who you will be if you trust in His name. Instead of focusing inward or withdrawing from the world around you .. you are to live your life with a “robust love”. And that is only possible when Christ is the One who is nourishing your life. His life .. His Word .. and His Spirit are the very ingredients of being healthy and alive in Him. Without Christ you discover a malnourished life that restricts love and retires from being led by His Spirit. Since that moment on the Cross and His Resurrection from the dead the name of Jesus has threatened every government and culture that seeks to order and influence any life away from Him. In Christ there is no there is no other name in which your life will become whole. He is “to be” the source of everything you do. That can be irritating at times. He is “to be” the source of everything you are. That means your life should point to the reality of Jesus. He “will be” the source of everything you become. The pressure is off. You can start living now .. not having to worry about what you will become because He has promised you today .. that you will be like Him. So you can live, and breathe, and love in His name .. just like Him. And amazingly .. Jesus will love others through you and they will see Christ alive .. in your life. It only takes a moment …

“Salvation comes no other way; no other name has been or will be given to us by which we can be saved, only this one.” Acts 4:12 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
