What God has for you …

“By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us — set us right with him, make us fit for him — we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand — out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.” Romans 5:1-2 The Message

There is a life that God wants for you. It is always described as an already-opened life .. an unbelievable grace-opened life .. and a faith-filled life. It’s yours by entering .. trusting .. believing .. accepting .. and following Jesus. Too often we exhaust ourselves trying and trying and trying to live this life in our own strength .. out of our own designs .. and by our own definitions. There is only one life that God has for you: Life made right because of Christ. There isn’t anyway around him. And why would you want it any other way? The life through Him doesn’t have to look back .. worry over yesterdays .. fret about tomorrow .. or grip today as if it rests on your shoulders. God’s thrown the doors open for you. He’s held them open for longer than you can imagine. The door on your side reads: COME TO ME. The door on His side reads: CALLED BY MY NAME. Every kind of life walks through those doors .. with every kind of experience .. and each letting go of all the burdens, bitterness, brokenness, and un-beliefs that have wearied them for so long. Christ’s door is wide open for anyone .. anytime .. and anywhere. There are a pair of nail-scarred hands to greet you and you’ll instantly recognize his grip. His hands are weathered and welcoming. The only thing you can bring today is yourself. You enter by faith that His life is the real foundation “that makes your life worth living”. Don’t worry .. your faith doesn’t have to be perfect. He is for your life. The door is open … and it only takes a moment …

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
