Get up ….

“Jesus said to the paraplegic, “Son, I forgive your sins.” Mark 2:5 The Message

These words of Jesus are the same in every heart of every woman and every man who walks free from the paralyzing power of sin. How you reached that place where it is you and Jesus doesn’t matter. It may be in front of strangers or close friends. You may be all alone. What matters is that Jesus is speaking into the deepest ( and sometimes darkest) places of your life. His words: “I forgive your sins” are past .. present .. and future tense .. and right now. The Living Word became the Crucified Word so that you can now hear his Forgiving Word. The forgiveness of Jesus is the healthiest Word you will ever hear .. ever receive .. and ever live. It crosses all boundaries of age and achievement. It consumes all sin. It saves you from living without feeling .. without caring .. and without being abandoned. You never have to live like you are alone ever again. Four words and three nails have freed your life. And now Jesus invites you to “Get up .. and start walking”. It only takes a moment…

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
