Being ready …?

“Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master (LORD). Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy.” 1 Peter 3:15 The Message

When the pressures are on you want to let go of anything that is weighing you down. It takes a heart that has been thick and thin to stick to Jesus. Life around you without Jesus will devour you. And still Jesus guides you to align you heart and life with Him. He’s called you to be a disciple .. to follow Him .. to let Him lead .. and to trust him when he needs to come home. But notice the first order: Keep your hearts tuned to the Masters’ It takes effort and a thirst that can only be filled by Jesus himself. It is a great way to enter the weekend. Keep you eyes on Jesus …. It only takes a moment …

“Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof– Public Sinner Number One — of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy. And now he shows me off — evidence of his endless patience — to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever>’ 1 Timothy 1:15- The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
