The Open Door….

August 15, 2012

“What matters to me most is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.” Acts 20:24

What if the “real job” of your life is sharing God’s generosity in Jesus Christ. Your focus and aim in whatever you are doing or wherever you are living is sharing Christ. You wouldn’t spend much time on yourself except as it deepened your relationship with Christ and freed your life to serve others. Everyone who approached you would feel welcomed .. just as you felt when Jesus approached your life. When they left they would feel like your door was always open and you always has time just for them. That’s who Jesus is today. His door is always open. He always has time. He’ll always stand with you in whatever you are facing. God’s serious about the “real job” in your life. He knows what it looks like in your life when you are letting His Son have the full run of the house. Is there anything in the way? It only takes a moment …

“Paul lived for two years in his rented house. He welcomed everyone who came to visit. He urgently presented all matters of the kingdom of God. He explained everything about Jesus Christ. His door was always open.” Acts 28:30-31 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
