What if …?

September 12, 2012

“My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit – not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength – that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in.” Ephesians 3:14-15 The Message

What if … You got down on your knees and prayed this prayer for someone today. What if … Someone got down on their knees and prayed this prayer for you today. Would God hear? Would He respond? Would you want Him to fill your life with His fullness? It would mean that His love would push out all the walls in your life. It would mean that you are asking Him to do in that person far more than you could ever imagine. It would mean that someone is asking Him to do in you far more than they could ever imagine. Who would ever imagine that a rabbi-trained tentmaker would write a prayer that is as needed today as it was almost 2000 years ago? What if … You really prayed this prayer today? What would happen? May the Lord unleash such love in you .. and for you today. It only takes a moment…

“God can do anything, you know – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” Ephesians 3:20… The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
