Tears..Disgrace….Erased

September 26, 2012

“And God will wipe the tears from every face. He’ll remove every sign of disgrace, From his people, wherever they are. Yes! God says so!” Isaiah 25:8 The Message

This is the life you have in Jesus Christ. It is God’s promise .. Cross guaranteed .. Nail-scarred-hands secured. When he wipes every tear from your face there will will no scars .. no shame .. and no lingering disgrace. All the burdens you’ve carried will be turned into praise. All the worries that aged you will melt away. All the failures and struggles are removed in the light of His face. It is not just that your tears are gone. God will wipe them away. The life you have in Jesus is more personal than you can ever imagine. The life He lives in you is more intimate than any relationship you’ve experienced on earth. What holds us back are the remembered tears .. faded sighs of disgrace .. and the lingering thoughts that you are somehow outside of his reach. The Holy Spirit’s greT word of grace in your life is “Yes”! It is the sound of triumph .. victory .. deliverance .. and homecoming. The image of an empty grave is stamped on your heart as your passport. Your citizenship is in Heaven. “There are no limits to the wholeness Christ brings” to your life. No limits. God’s promise to your life was long before you turned your heart over to his care .. long before you let Him carry your burdens .. and long before you realized what He has done for your life. Are you doubting His intimate care of your life? You live in this world but your true citizenship is Heaven stamped. And for this day … it only takes a moment …

“But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthly bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill which by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.” Philippians 3:20-21 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
